The Farm Park

The Farm Park will be open from 3rd October 2020.

Please note: The play equipment in the main barn has been replaced with extra indoor seating and a demonstration/show area. 

This ensures that we can continue to provide the majority of our farm activities at a safe social distance. 

Lamb and calf feeding may not be available at this time.

Whats on:

5-9th October closed for Halloween preparations.
10th October: Pumpkin Picking begins.

*These prices are discounted to reflect the reduced availability of play equipment. 


Opening Times:

10am - 4.30pm 7 days a week

CLOSED: 5th October - 9th October for Halloween preparations. 


Vouchers and Annual Passes:

Vouchers and annual passes can be used for farm entry only and are not valid for any of our special events: ie: Peter Rabbit, Halloween by Night, Pumpkin Picking or our Drive Thru Farm Safari.

Please call 01282 841 148 to book using your annual pass / voucher. 


Go Contactless:

We encourage paying for extras when at the farm using your card. We are limiting the amount of cash being handled onsite.


Food and Rides:

Our Roosters Diner will be serving delicious homemade food daily and we have provided a larger, COVID safe area within the inside barn area for seating.

Our Caterpillar and Junior Quads will be running at intervals throughout the day. Weather permitting.

Health and Safety:

We strive to ensure the best possible visitor experience in the safest way we will always put health and safety first.

We take our responsibilities to our customers, our staff, and our suppliers extremely seriously.

With this in mind, we have implemented new restrictions, guidelines, requests of respect to others, and strict rules.

This is to ensure that we can continue to provide a great day out whilst being mindful of the seriousness that Coronavirus brings and the actions we should take to limit the spread of infection or transmission.

Please take some time to read through our guidelines and the rules and responsibilities that we all must adhere to prior to visiting and whilst at Thornton Hall Country Park

It is essential that all members of your party understand the importance of all of the guidance issued too.

Our on-site signage is clearly displayed and it is important that you and your party follow our site rules at all times.

If any item is unclear or not understood then please speak to a member of staff who will be happy to advise you.

 Book Online

To ensure we can meet the government's guidelines regarding social distancing we will be open but with limited capacity. All bookings must be made online via our booking system.


Some areas and attractions are closed:

Please be aware that not all areas of the farm park are currently open. 



Please follow UK Government guidelines regarding the appropriate use of face masks.


Please DO NOT visit us if you are sick:

We respectfully request that you do not visit us if you have any symptoms of COVID-19.

Wash Hands

Wash your hands

We have numerous hand washing stations and hand sanitizing stations throughout the farm park. Please ensure you use them at every opportunity.

We have also put in place a more rigorous cleaning regime throughout the day for all of our facilities. 


Health and Safety Reports

To ensure we are following all guidelines we have undertaken various assessments with our qualified H&S consultant and have implemented new measures to benefit everyone.

Staff Training

Staff Policy and Training:

Our staff have received additional training to ensure we meet the guidelines set out by the UK Government. All staff will be temperature checked daily and no circumstances allowed to work if they display any COVID related symptoms. 

Social DIstance

Social Distancing:

Whilst on-site at Thornton Hall Country Park please ensure you practice good social distancing etiquette at all times. This may mean you have to queue for a little longer than normal in some areas, but please be patient. 


Roosters Diner:

Roosters Diner is open and serving delicious food - instructions for ordering and collection of food will be clearly signed. All tables and seating have been organised so that you can social distance from other visitors.

Track and trace

Track and Trace:

We have a legal obligation to provide the contact information of all persons on-site to the UK government's Track and Trace team if requested. 


Experience hands on animal encounters on our traditional working farm here at Thornton Hall Country Park. Climb on board our Safari Ride and take a trip up to our Deer Park then enjoy some delicious food in our onsite diner while the little ones burn off the remainder of their energy in our huge fun filled Play Barn… a fun filled, informative family day out, RAIN OR SHINE!

We only allow Guide Dogs on to the farm sorry for any inconvenience.
